God has chosen the weak things of the world..

Today, as I was praying, I was overcome with a feeling like I am not doing enough for God. Along with that came the thoughts.."how am I significant enough to make an impact for God."

I am doing two Beth Moore bible studies: "David, 90 Days with a heart like His" and "Jesus, 90 days with the One and Only." In reading my 2 Bible studies today, I was led to these verses and God's answer to my questions in my prayers to Him.

The first verse that I was led to was from 1 Corinthians 1:27-28
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put shame to the things which are mighty...." God chooses the everyday people like me to forward His plan of salvation for all. How comforting that is to know.

The second verse was from the 1st book of Samuel verse 7: "But the Lord said to Samuel: "Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

This verse may be uncomfortable to some, but I find it comforts me. I am thankful that God looks at my heart. I want Him to fill every crevice in my heart with Himself. Thank You God for your Word and for bringing these answers to me so quickly today! I needed this! In Jesus' name! Amen!!
